This was a curious title released some time ago that made use of a physical device called a Battle Chip Gate that hooked to your GBA. This let you insert (and presumably use during battle) those real-world toy Battle Chips that you could collect in various ways, such as by purchasing action figures that came with them and so on. (Some of these chips were even released in English.) I would imagine that this game’s subtitle is at least in part alluding to this feature.
Another interesting feature is it appears that you don’t have to play as just MegaMan.EXE in this game. I see screen shots showing what seem to be other playable characters such as ProtoMan.EXE and Roll.EXE.
I don’t know if I’ll ever play this one, though. Playing an action game in a foreign language isn’t too difficult, but understanding what you are doing in a role-playing game is altogether another matter.
