Trap Storm

“Mega Man, what happened to you?” Break Man asked when he arrived, planting his hands on his brother’s wet and bedraggled shoulders.

Mega Man gestured at the chains lying at his feet. “He trussed me up like a sleeping bag and tossed me in the river. I just now got free.”

A strange light flickered through Break Man’s eyes, and though they were hidden behind the robot’s black visor, Mega Man read the expression clearly. The red robot reached down and picked up a length of the chain. He placed a hand at each end and with a quick jerk confirmed how strong it was. “Is this that metal you were telling me about?”

Mega Man nodded.

Break Man gazed at him. “He caught on.” He said it like a statement instead of a question.

“He caught on,” Mega Man agreed.

“Blast!” Break Man hurled the chain to the ground. “What do we do now?”
