Notes:
- First digit is weapon fired normally; second digit is weapon fully charged.
Remember that you have to charge to the “pink” (fourth) level in order to fire a charged special weapon; if you release the button too soon, you’ll just get the normal weapon attack. (In black and white, of course you can’t see the pink color, but if you look closely the flashing pattern does change slightly.)
Uses: ? Obtained From: Spark Mandrill
Similar To: Spark Shock
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MHX
ELECTRIC SPARKFires a sphere of energy forward that flies straight horizontally. If charged it fires two vertical streams of energy which travel left and right across the screen.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Magna Centipede
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI
MAGNET MINEShoots a small projectile forward which will attach to walls. It vanishes in a few seconds or when you press fire again. When charged, shoots a slow-moving energy shot.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Armored Armadillo
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MHX
ROLLING SHIELDIn its normal form, the Rolling Shield is just that: it fires blue spheres that roll along the floor. However, its charged state is where the shielding comes into effect—this places a blue sphere shield around the user that makes him more or less invulnerable to attacks. The shield remains until it takes a hit that it can’t sustain. Basically the rule is: if the shield can destroy the enemy with one hit, then the shield won’t disappear; otherwise, it vanishes and you take damage.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Chill Penguin
Characteristics: Freezes
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MHX
SHOTGUN ICEShoots a shard of ice forward that will freeze specific objects. Charging up the Shotgun Ice will give you a platform which you can ride.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Morph Moth
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI
SILK SHOTShoots a small particle that arcs downward and then splits into multiple directions. When charged, the shot is larger and splits into more directions.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Flame Stag
Characteristics: Burns
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI
SPEED BURNERUnder normal circumstances, this shoots fireballs. However, when charged it allows the user to dash while surrounded by fire, literally turning himself into a giant fireball.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Wheel Gator
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI
SPIN WHEELA large wheel grinds along the ground. This is capable of cutting through certain floors. When charged, wheels are fired in eight directions.
Uses: ? Obtained From: Storm Eagle
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MHX
STORM TORNADOCreates a cylindrical-shaped, horizontal tornado that travels the width of the screen. Alternately, charge up to create a vertical maelstrom.
Also Known As: Life Energy
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
ENERGY PELLETThese restore energy to your character when you pick them up, or fill your Sub-Tanks if your character’s energy is full.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MHX

Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMXI, MHX
WEAPON ENERGY PELLETThe colored pellets are weapon energy. They refill your current weapon when picked up. If you aren’t equipped with a weapon or your weapon is full, the energy goes to another weapon that needs it.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
WEAPON ENERGY CAPSULEThese are the same as weapon energy pellets except that more energy is refilled.
Also Known As: Spare Body

1-UPExtra lives. If you have one of these when you bite the dust, you’ll be given another chance at the stage.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
HEART TANKThis adds two units to your energy meter. That’s two units to your maximum health—you can literally increase the total size of your energy bar with these.
Also Known As: Sub-Tank
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
SUB-TANKThese are permanent containers that can be used to store spare life energy and carry it around until it is needed. They are reusable and can be refilled as often as necessary. To fill a Sub-Tank, acquire energy when your energy meter is full, and the energy will go to your tank instead.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
RIDE ARMORThis is a robot walker than X can get into and maneuver around. Most of the controls are the same while in the Ride Armor (jump, attack, and so forth). When you are in a Ride Armor and get hit, the armor takes the damage, rather than X, but after it suffers too much damage, it will be destroyed. (You’ll notice it flashing before this happens.) To hop out of a Ride Armor, press up + jump.
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MHX
BOOTS UPGRADEIn this game, you can dash from the start of the game. So the boots cause you to automatically dash-jump off walls all the time, which can be a little irritating (although helpful in places since it can send X soaring all the way across the screen). Also the boots will break certain blocks when you kick them, as happened in Mega Man X1.
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
HELMET UPGRADEThe helmet allows you to break certain blocks by bonking them with your head.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX3, MMXI, MHX
ARMOR UPGRADEThis increases your defense, which is practically a must in this game. Enemies won’t start doing reasonable damage on you until you get the Armor.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX7, MMXI, MHX
X-BUSTER UPGRADEThe arm cannon upgrade gives you a fourth level charge, which produces a different shot. Wait until X starts glowing reddish (rather than white-yellow) before firing to use it. You can also charge special weapons with this.
Appears In: MMXI
DASHThis is one of the four Zero Scramble programs, which summon Zero to perform an attack. With this one, Zero charges forward, damaging whatever he hits.
Appears In: MMXI
RISINGAnother Zero Scramble program. Zero thrusts upward with his saber.
Appears In: MMXI
EARTH GAIZERZero slams his fist into the ground, covering the screen with rising debris.
Appears In: MMXI, MMXII
FINALWhen used, Zero slashes with his saber, then thrusts upward off the screen.
Appears In: MMXI, MMXII
SHOTOKANThis is the Hadouken and Shouryuken rolled into one. To perform these, you need to charge up first to the pink (maximum) level. Then hold Down and release the fire button for the Fireball, or hold Up and release the button for the Dragon Punch. These moves aren’t nearly the wrecking balls that they were in the SNES games, but they pack a fairly nice punch against most enemies (except bosses, unfortunately).
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Rockman X
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MMXCM, MHX
MEGA MAN XCommonly called simply “X,” this robot was built by Dr. Light for reasons unknown. He fights Mavericks to aid both humans and Reploids, but an inner hatred for violence prevents him from being as good of a Hunter as he could be.
HP: ? AT: ? Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MMXCM, MHX
ZEROA skilled Maverick Hunter who lets nothing hold him back. After being destroyed and rebuilt, Zero fights with X and the other Hunters full time.
HP: ? AT: ? Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
SIGMASigma is one of the Reploids Dr. Cain built from information gleamed from X himself. After going Maverick, Sigma has apparently determined that the human race is inferior to Reploids and must either be enslaved or killed. Like a persistent bug, he always returns even after he is defeated, usually in a new form, since though his bodies are defeated, apparently his programming continues to live on to cause more damage.
Appears In: MMXI
MIDDYA computer-programmer Reploid who helps out the Maverick Hunters.
Appears In: MMXI
TECHNOThis is basically Middy’s evil twin, a programmer who hacks into the Mother Computer to introduce mayhem.
HP: ? AT: ? Appears In: MMXI
ZAINA warrior Reploid; you might say Zain is a Maverick Hunter hunter.
HP: ? AT: ? Appears In: MMXI
GEEMELZain’s partner in fighting (not crime fighting, just plain fighting).
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMXI, MHX
DR. CAINThis is the man who uncovered Dr. Light’s laboratory during a dig. He released X and built the Reploids, which were robots built with the help of X’s design.
Appears In: MMX1, MMX2, MMX3, MMX4, MMX5, MMX6, MMX7, MMX8, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
DR. THOMAS LIGHTThe creator of X who manifests only as holograms in capsules. His capsules give X upgrades for his struggles ahead.
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Armor Armarge
Weapon: Rolling Shield
Weakness: Electric Spark
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
ARMORED ARMADILLOThis guy rolls himself into a ball and ricochets around the room. His energy shots are far less dangerous. Hit him with an Electric Spark to knock off his armor, and you will have a much easier time at damaging him.
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Icy Penguigo
Weapon: Shotgun Ice
Weakness: Speed Burner
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
CHILL PENGUINThis is one of the smaller Mavericks (in the X series it’s rare to see an enemy that is smaller than X). As his name suggests, he is another of the ice robots, who can turn X into a popcicle if you give him the chance. He creates ice blocks and then blows them toward you by hanging on the chain on the ceiling. Knock him off by climbing the wall and firing at him.
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Fraim Stugger
Weapon: Speed Burner
Weakness: Storm Tornado
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI, MMXII
FLAME STAGResiding in a volcano, this guy’s room has more height than width. He can be a flurry of activity, but if you hit him with the Storm Tornado, you can occupy him so much that he won’t get around to most of his attacks.
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Magne Hyakulegger
Weapon: Magnet Mine
Weakness: Silk Shot
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI, MMXII
MAGNA CENTIPEDEThis guy has a magnetic personality, but you can gunk that up by blasting him with the Silk Shot. Otherwise, you’ll not only have to worry about being attracted to him (groan) but you’ll also have to dodge his Magnet Mines...
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Metamor Mothmeanos
Weapon: Silk Shot
Weakness: Speed Burner
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI, MMXII
MORPH MOTHNow this is one of the more original—and adorable—of the Mavericks. He begins the battle as a teeny little moth robot that is capable of drawing debris to himself in a spiral (to avoid this, try circling the room by running along the floor, climbing a wall, air-dashing over him, and repeating). Only after you damage him significantly does he show his true form. Try the Speed Burner.
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Spark Mandriller
Weapon: Electric Spark
Weakness: Shotgun Ice
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
SPARK MANDRILLThis hulking robot would love to pound you, but you can freeze him into place with the Shotgun Ice—even in the middle of his dash! Beware, however, as he is too strong to remain encased in ice forever...
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Storm Eagleed
Weapon: Storm Tornado
Weakness: Spin Wheel
Appears In: MMX1, MMXI, MMXII, MHX
STORM EAGLEA birdman with impressive wing strength, Storm Eagle can blow you for a loop. He likes to dive on his opponents, but if you are fast enough, you can leap him and get a shot in at the same time.
HP: ? AT: ? Also Known As: Wheel Alligates
Weapon: Spin Wheel
Weakness: Magnet Mine
Appears In: MMX2, MMXI, MMXI
WHEEL GATORThis battle takes place in a room filled with a strange flowing liquid. This liquid will not harm X, however; so it’s safe to stand there. Although the temptation is to climb the walls to get out of the gunk, it is actually to your favor to remain on the ground unless Wheel Gator goes under.
